LONE STAR EMMY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Helping students beyond the classroom… that’s what the Lone Star EMMY Scholarship Program is designed to do.

Why is this important? For several important reasons. We’ve all been students before so we know the value of a supportive hand… especially when it comes to college tuition. Secondly, these same young people will hopefully be our colleagues in the not-too-distant future… what a great way to help them on their way. And finally, they’re bright, enthusiastic, full of energy and come to us with innovative ideas… we can all learn something from them in the process of supporting their education.

A portion of the Professional Membership fees support the Lone Star EMMY Scholarship Program. We recognize and award both undergraduate and graduate students from across the State of Texas with scholarships.

These scholarships are offered on an annual basis to students in accredited college and university electronic media programs. All applicants must meet the scholarship criteria outlined by the Board of Directors which include up to 3.0 grade point average, financial need, participation in organizations both on and off campus, and work experience, and must submit an essay describing their future plans.

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS:  JUNE 30th OF EACH YEAR.

The Lone Star EMMY Chapter will award scholarships of up to $2,500 to qualified students chosen by our Scholarship Committee.  Funds will be sent directly to the College/University
