Enter your best work for consideration in the 2009 Lone Star EMMY Awards Call for Entries.

Who, What, When, Where!

The Lone Star EMMY Awards recognize excellence in television programming and individual craft achievement in the television arts. The chapter accepts entries from all 19 television markets in Texas, and those markets in Mexico adjacent to the Texas border. All entries must be broadcast or cablecast for the first time during the period from June 1, 2008 through May 31, 2009. Awards presentation will be Saturday, October 17 in Dallas. No entry may be submitted to another chapter's awards. If, in the opinion of the Peer Judging Panel, an entry is submitted in an inappropriate awards category, it will be referred to the Awards Committee which reserves the right to change the category in which any entry is to be judged; or to disqualify the entry. Entry in the Lone Star Chapter Emmy Awards gives The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences the right to broadcast, cablecast, or post online winning entries.

The 6th Annual Lone Star EMMY Awards brought together more than 400 television professionals to the Verizon Wireless Theater for EMMY's big night in Texas. It was a red, white and blue-themed bash to match any post-election celebration.

EMMY Awards - FAQ

I was not able to come the Awards Show. How do I get my statuette?

The statuettes are in transit and will not be in the Lone Star EMMY office until the week of October 27. I will contact you if you are in the area to come to the office to pick up your statuette. Or we will mail your statuette to the address you provided.

My name band has a typo or misspelled name.

If there is an issue with your statuette regarding the name band, please contact the Lone Star EMMY Office at Contact Us and describe the issue.

We get a lot of questions this time of year:

"Can I purchase a duplicate EMMY?"

"My name wasn't on the entry but I was a contributor to an EMMY-awarded piece. Can I buy a statue?"

"My station paid the entry fees. Who gets the award?"

We thought this would be a good opportunity to answer those questions and
let you know your options.

A good starting place is the Award Ownership clause from the National Television Academy. This clause was included in the Rules section of Lone Star EMMY Call for Entries:

AWARD OWNERSHIP: EMMY Awards are presented to individuals, not to their employers. Ownership of the EMMY statuette is retained by the individuals and The National Television Academy, even if an employer pays entry fees. Stations, studios and production companies may order a duplicate statuette for display at their place of business (one each; up to a maximum of three per winning program entry). Corporations, production companies, cable companies and other employers associated with winning craft entries may purchase plaques from the Academy that have a replica of the statuette and space to list the names and titles of their employees' award recipients for display at their offices.

WHO RECEIVES THE AWARD: Producers, craft persons and other statue-eligible entrants as listed on the entry form receive the Emmy® statuette, except where noted. Others who work on a nominated or winning entry may order production certificates or plaques.
