This year's deadline will be Saturday, June 5 at 3 p.m. If you're looking for an entry point for portable and broadband delivery content (e.g. webcasting, podcasting, etc) there's an important change you should know about this year. For the past three years, the Lone Star EMMY Chapter has maintained a separate awards cycle for video productions originally created for broadband or portable delivery. Typically those entries had a January deadline with the awards recipients announced in May. Beginning in 2010, we will accept entries originally created for portable or broadband delivery during our traditional Call for Entries for broadcast and cablecast television production which offers nearly 100 individual categories recognizing excellence. For this one time only, we will allow producers of broadband and portable delivery content to extend their eligibility period from January 1, 2009-May 31, 2010. This allows those producers opportunity to enter materials that would have been eligible under the previous awards structure. All Lone Star EMMY Awards will be now be announced on stage at our October awards gala. We look forward to your participation. 7th Annual Lone Star EMMY AwardsMore than 520 television professionals from across Texas two-stepped to Gilley's Palladium Ballroom in Dallas Saturday, October 17 for the 7th Annual Lone Star EMMY Awards.
